Quick protocol guidance

Manage your risks intelligently, even when you're navigating emergencies.

  • Screen for prior contrast reaction → follow slow or rapid premedication guidelines. Be ready with ACLS.
  • Check eGFR (< 30 or rapidly declining → consider non‑contrast)
  • If aspiration risk  → use barium or avoid PO contrast
  • If perforation or SBO concern → use water‑soluble PO contrast (gastrografin). Avoid barium.
