The normal preliminary template is focused on the emergent and actionable findings you'll learn on your RadClerk experience.

Normal gallbladder. No gallstones, no wall thickening, no pericholecystic fluid.  
No hepatic steatosis. No focal hepatic mass.  
No intrahepatic or extrahepatic biliary ductal dilation.  
No ascites.

The template that your radiologist uses to evaluate the study includes more comprehensive phrases that take years to accurately deliver.

Reporting abnormal findings

Here are phrases you'll find useful when you identify abnormalities.

Structure Abnormal Phrases to Know
Gallbladder Gallstones present.
Gallstones present with [gallbladder wall thickening], [pericholecystic fluid], [hyperemia], and [positive Sonographic Murphy sign], all concerning for acute cholecystitis.
Gallbladder wall thickening without gallstones.
Pericholecystic fluid present.
Common Bile Duct Common bile duct dilated, measuring [X.X mm].
Liver Hepatic steatosis present.
Focal hepatic lesion identified. Further evaluation recommended.
Bile Ducts Intrahepatic biliary ductal dilation present.
Ascites Free fluid (ascites) present.
